    Expo Zaragoza 2008 European Promotion Campaign

    Approach:

    Within the framework of its European communications and promotions programme, EXPO ZARAGOZA 2008 asked Corporactiva to design an appropriate innovative campaign to generate maximum impact amongst the various interest groups: political, business, tourism and press in the main European capital cities.

    Proposal:

    In response to this brief, Corporactiva proposed an alliance with Cirque de Soleil to meet two objectives: that of benefiting from Cirque du Soleil's communications platform and presence in the main European cities covered by its 2006-2007 tour, and also to associate EXPO ZARAGOZA 2008 with a brand that has similarities in terms of philosophy and objectives, capable of bringing different interest groups together in the framework of a unique experience. The alliance took the form of a sponsorship agreement, complemented by specific public relations events in each city held in Cirque du Soleil's own VIP hospitality facilities. Corporactiva managed and coordinated the campaign throughout Europe, which included public relations events in the following cities covered by the tour: Brussels (Alegría: 31 August - 15 October 2006), Madrid (Alegría: 27 October - 17 December 2006), Frankfurt (Dralion: 19 October - 26 November 2006), London (Alegría: 5 January - 11 February 2007) and Paris (Alegría: 26 April - 15 July 2007).
